Petition goal: To remove the Ultra-Low Emission Zone

Reason for petition: The Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week vehicles need to meet the Khan’s ULEZ emissions standards or you must pay a £12.50 daily charge to drive in London. This includes:

Cars, motorcycles, vans and specialist vehicles (up to and including 3.5 tonnes) and minibuses (up to and including 5 tonnes).

The poor and vulnerable are the most effected by the ULEZ tax, many people for example, single mums cannot afford to pay £12.50 every time they drive their children to and from school, or when doing shopping trips, doctors’ appointments etc.

The ULEZ tax doesn’t just effect Londoners’, anyone driving into London in any vehicle that doesn’t meet the European emission standards: Euro 3 for motorbikes, Euro 4 for petrol vehicles or Euro 6 for diesel vehicles will have to pay the ULEZ tax or face a penalty charge of £160 (reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days).

The ULEZ is a tax on the poor and must be SCRAPPED immediately!

This is the most punitive regressive levy/fine ever..as a self employed start up Courier service.. this levy/fine is killing my business and making it impossible for me to work without recourse to public funds and going into debt and or bankruptcy.  - IbiFam NW10

The ULEZ is just a money making scheme. The same as the congestion zone. All it does is put traffic somewhere else.  - Gary Johnson
